Calorie-Free Chocolate Present
|
| |
It’s Valentine’s Day and you know what that means – chocolate! But if someone’s on a diet and can’t have “a piece of heaven”, or if you’re just in a teasing mood, then make this project to cheer up anyone!

Materials:
- 1 2 ½” styrofoam ball
- 2 sheets cardstock
- 8 ½” square of aluminum foil
- a scrap piece of white tissue paper
- a piece of wire-edged ribbon
- double-sided tape or glue
Instructions:
- Cut off about ¾” from the bottom of the Styrofoam ball (use a long serrated knife to cut). Put the styrofoam on the center of the square piece of foil, attach the strip of white tissue paper, then wrap securely by gathering the corners, pinching and shaping the foil so that it resembles a giant chocolate “Kiss”.
- Download and print the box templates below. Assemble the box, glue or tape the flaps on the sides. You may want to cut out a 3” square of cardstock to support the inside bottom of the box.
- Stick the giant “Kiss” on the bottom of the box with double-sided tape. Close the box.
- Wrap sides of the box with ribbon and tie in a pretty bow. Print the following poem and attach to the present:
It’s that time of year again When chocolates a’plenty And we become insane With guilty pleasures Resulting in weight gain. Is it unstoppable? I can feel your pain! But I have a remedy, A cure if you wish! You won’t gain an ounce I promise you this: I know it’s not much But I aim to please, Here’s a big Kiss With zero calories!
