This card was inspired by the Tuesday Teapotters at Splitcoaststampers, and by Cindy(Mothermark) who makes cards based on her teapot collection. The teapotters make cards and send them to someone who needs cheering up, and for this week, our cards are going to Janet in Texas.

I thought that I would take a stab at making a teapot-shaped card and well, it practically took me a whole day! Anyway, I really like how this card turned out, especially with the paper piercing border on it. This is how the card looks like on the side when opened:

I used my Cricut with SCAL to cut the templates (this setup is similar to Silhouette Cameo Designer Series) from white cardstock (Georgia Pacific) and Bazzill cardstock (Hillary). The sunflowers were cut from Jillybean Soup (yellow salt) cardstock, the flower centers are black rhinestones (Recollections) while the leaves are pre-made (also Recollections). The edges of the teapot were inked with Ranger Distress Ink – peeled paint – while the sunflowers were inked with tea-dye.

The paper piercing pattern is from Gem’s Cottage and here it is (just right click on the image and save it into your computer):

And since we’re on paper piercing, here are the paper piercing videos my daughters made (very proud of them!):

Finally, here’s the teapot card template; I hope you have fun with it!

This is the inspiration teapot:
