It’s my second daughter’s birthday today – she is 19! I still remember the sleep-deprived, exhausted, and chaotic days and weeks following her birth, but my husband and I agree: we wouldn’t have had it any other way. We are proud of the person she has turned out to be – and also proud that we have survived those early days, LOL! This card is a humorous and realistic take on being parents – I know a lot of you can relate!

Originally, I planned to use a plane sticker, but it turned out that I don’t have one (go figure, LOL!); next, I thought I’d use a plane button, but it was too small; so I ended up paper-piecing a plane instead.
